ASCEND Cardiovascular Goes Live in the Cloud as the Cardiology Solution Within a Pacific Northwest Enterprise Transformation

Cloud-hosted, multi-modality structured reporting brings cardiology-specific depth to an enterprise-wide technology transformation.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — October 8, 2026 — ASCEND Cardiovascular today announced that its cardiovascular reporting platform is now cloud-hosted and live within an enterprise cardiology environment in Vancouver, Wash. The go-live, which began September 28, 2026, was part of a healthcare organization's enterprise-wide technology transformation, with ASCEND delivering the cardiology solution within that broader enterprise.

The deployment brings structured reporting across multiple cardiology service lines, including adult echocardiography, vascular ultrasound, and cardiac nuclear medicine, while connecting cardiology workflows to the organization's new enterprise platforms through a single, unified cardiovascular platform.

Cloud-enabled. Enterprise-connected. Built for the future of cardiovascular care.

The organization undertook a complete enterprise transformation, modernizing imaging and clinical systems well beyond cardiology. Its cardiologists had clear needs within that effort: robust, multi-modality structured reporting and an echo interpretation workflow that allows them to read and finalize studies quickly, including remotely, without stepping outside the new enterprise strategy

ASCEND's role was to deliver that cardiology solution inside the broader enterprise. Sonographers, technologists, and cardiologists access ASCEND directly from the Visage worklist. Cardiovascular acquisition data flows into ASCEND and automatically populates the appropriate structured reporting workflows, reducing manual data entry and helping clinicians complete reports efficiently. Finalized reports return to Visage and on to the Epic patient record.

Automated carry-forward of prior findings and guideline-based suggested interpretations further streamline each read. Less time manually searching, re-entering, and switching systems means more time for interpretation and patient care.

Cardiology: an enterprise within the enterprise

Cardiology is imaging's most complex specialty. A single patient may generate echocardiograms, vascular studies, nuclear scans, stress tests, and thousands of structured measurements over decades of care.

Enterprise imaging solutions, often radiology-driven, are essential for centralizing images across a health system. But for cardiology, centralized images alone are not enough. Cardiology also requires specialty-specific structured data, reporting workflows, and support for each of its service lines.

This deployment shows how Enterprise Cardiology complements enterprise imaging rather than competing with it. ASCEND treats cardiology as an enterprise within the enterprise, giving cardiovascular teams the clinical depth they need while integrating seamlessly with PACS, EHR, and broader enterprise strategies. The result is a complete, no-compromise solution for cardiology.

"Cardiology has spent years adapting to systems built for something else. This go-live shows there's a better path. As part of a broader enterprise transformation, this organization gave its cardiologists a cloud-hosted reporting workflow built for how they actually work, fully connected to Visage and Epic. That's what Enterprise Cardiology looks like in practice." — Jeffrey Soble, MD and CEO of ASCEND Cardiovascular

Built for what's next

Because every ASCEND report captures structured data, the organization is building a longitudinal cardiovascular data foundation with every study. The deployment includes ASCEND Analytics and its underlying cardiovascular data mart, giving the organization a foundation for service-line analytics, quality and performance insight, and future AI-enabled workflows as its needs grow.

Running in the cloud, the platform is positioned to scale with additional modalities, locations, and capabilities over time.
